How we work

Appraisal work is undertaken by an MRICS professional. The work centres on insurance appraisal — estimating what it would cost to rebuild a property — drawing on construction cost and property expertise. Each enquiry is reviewed to confirm whether it suits a desktop review or needs a site inspection before the report is prepared. We provide insurance replacement cost valuations (RCVs); we do not provide market-value appraisals for sale, purchase or mortgage purposes.

Approach

Every report states its basis and assumptions — floor areas, construction type, the allowances confirmed in the written scope, and what was and wasn't inspected. The aim is a figure your broker can follow and question, not a number without reasoning.
